Evaluation of the efficiency of chiral atropisomeric phosphine ligands in asymmetric processes catalyzed by transition metal salts Part 1: Evaluation of steric effects

Evaluation of the efficiency of chiral atropisomeric phosphine ligands in asymmetric processes catalyzed by transition metal salts Part 1: Evaluation of steric effects DEMCHUK O. M., ŁAST AWI ECKA E., K. PIETRUSI EWI CZ M. Please cite as: CHEMIK 2012, 66, 7, 758-770 Asymmetric synthesis with the use of chiral complexes of transition metals is one of the most economic and environment friendly organic transformations applied in the pharmaceutical industry. However, due to the lack of a universal theory that would bind catalyst structure with synthesis...

Mixed metal oxides Mg-Cu-Fe obtained from hydrotalcites as catalysts for selective oxidation of ammonia to nitrogen and water vapor (SCO)

Mixed metal oxides Mg-Cu-Fe obtained from hydrotalcites as catalysts for selective oxidation of ammonia to nitrogen and water vapor (SCO) JABŁOŃS KA M., CHMI ELARZ L., WĘGRZYN A., WIT KOWS KI S., MI CHALI K M. Please cite as: CHEMIK 2012, 66, 6, 750-757 Mixed oxide Mg-Cu-Fe systems obtained form hydrotalcites were tested as catalysts for the selective catalytic oxidation (SCO) of ammonia to nitrogen and water vapor. Catalytic precursors were obtained by coprecipitation method. In the next step hydrotalkite-like materials were dried and calcined (600°C)....

The synthesis of poly(acrylic acid)-bentonite and polyacrylamide-bentonite composites for adsorption applications

The synthesis of poly(acrylic acid)-bentonite and polyacrylamide-bentonite composites for adsorption applications NATKAŃS KI P., BI AŁAS A., KUŚTROWS KI P. Please cite as: CHEMIK 2012, 66, 7, 742-749 Raw bentonite was modified by introducing to its interlayer spaces hydrogel chains by intercalation polymerization. Poly(acrylic acid) or polyacrylamide were used as organic modifiers. The structure of the obtained compounds was examined by means of powder X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy. The performed modification resulted in a significant increase in the sorption capacity of the material in respect...

Technologies of syntheses of fluorofunctional silicon compounds

Technologies of syntheses of fluorofunctional silicon compounds MACIEJEWS KI H., KARASI EWI CZ J. Please cite as: CHEMIK 2012, 66, 7, 735-741 A versatile method was presented for synthesis of different fluorofunctional organosilicon derivatives (silanes, polysiloxanes and silsesquioxanes) based on hydrosilylation of allyl-fluoroalkyl ethers. The process of hydrosilylation was catalysed by rhodium siloxide complex [{Rh(?-OSiMe3)(cod)}2] immobilised in ionic liquid. Studies on optimisation of the above process were performed and a brief foredesign was worked out. Keywords: fluorocarbosilanes, hydrosilylation, rhodium complexes, ionic liquids Read more: Read more
