The paper presents the results of properties of acrylic coatings from the composition of paint on wooden surfaces. The polyurethane thickeners, inorganic thickeners, kaolin and montmoryllonit have been tested. The viscosity of the lacquer composition was obtained. Resulting of the compositions were applied with an applicator on steel and wooden plates and tested for hardness relative scratch resistance, adhesion, resistance to fluids. It was found that the type of thickener has a significant influence on the properties of the coatings. Introduction to the coating composition an inorganic thickener resulted primarily increase their resistance to liquid, and coating for improved resistance to scratching.
Keywords: acrylic coatings, wood surfaces, polyurethane thickeners, chemical and physico chemical resistance of coating
